Call for Papers, Vol. V, Issue 1/2025, "Change"
For the first 2025 issue of our journal, we would like to devote our attention to “Change”. Panta rhei, stated Heraclitus, everything flows and nothing abides; everything gives way and nothing stays fixed. Change is eternal, stability is temporary. Yet, we feel that our world has never experienced so much change at such a rapid pace in history. Thus, P’Arts’Hum invites scholars and academics to approach this topic for all areas of Arts & Humanities. We look forward to original contributions that would bring more provocative insights for Vol. V, issue 1/2025 of our academic journal Papers in Arts and Humanities.
Possible topics include but are not limited to:
- New me – changes at personal level; self-improvement and growth; mindset shifts; adapting to change
- Changes in intergenerational relations – adapting to aging demographics; the impact of COVID-19
- Changes we induce and changes we endure
- Changes in education – relating to Generation Z and Generation Alpha; long-life learning
- Change as crisis - crisis of democracy, economical crisis, financial crisis, ecological crisis, climate crisis, the rise and fall of industries; global warming effects; new (eco-friendly) lifestyles
- Changes in the authority of science, religion and philosophy; shifts in religious beliefs and practices; the search for meaning in times of change
- Changes in gender approach – woke ideology vs. traditional societies; evolving social norms
- Changes in how we see humans, related to machines and animals
- Changes in technology – digital transformation; the impact of artificial intelligence
- Changes in the world of art - cultures and countercultures; globalization vs. local cultures; AI and the individual artist
- Change as opportunity
We will continue with our Miscellanea section, for other inspired contributions on Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences that would not specifically address the issue of “Change.” We also encourage papers, within this particular section, addressing the topics of our previous issues (see the site).
